Alpharetta International Academy is actively seeking a dedicated Adolescent Teacher to become an integral part of our expanding Montessori community. We are in search of an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about teaching Social Science and English. Ideally, candidates should possess AMS or AMI Adolescent training or demonstrate a robust background in project-based learning with passion to teach Humanities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing our Middle School for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025.

The ideal candidate will contribute to shaping the vision for our innovative Middle Years program. Responsibilities include engaging children in development-stimulating activities, guiding them through educational programs, and implementing age-appropriate curriculum to foster comprehensive development. This role involves assessing and refining lesson plans, teaching fundamental academic and life skills, and providing individualized tutoring when necessary.

A loving and caring approach towards each child is essential, along with consistently contributing to positive behavior and social interactions. The candidate will conduct regular assessments to gauge student progress, document and report findings, and build secure relationships with all children. Collaboration with fellow staff and the Head of School is crucial to ensure the fulfillment of guidelines and goals.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the candidate will play a role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the classroom and other designated areas. Communication with parents is vital, involving regular updates on student activities and progress. The candidate will also be expected to participate in occasional parent events and other activities that may take place during nights and/or weekends.

Overall, the Adolescent Teacher will be an integral part of our dynamic educational community, contributing to the growth and development of our students while upholding the highest standards of care and education.
